How To Get To Tate Modern
Tate Modern is situated in London’s South Bank, right by the River Thames. The nearest Underground station is Southwark, which is served by the Jubilee Line. It’s approximately a 6 minute walk.
Blackfriars Underground station, located on the north bank, is approximately a 10 minute walk. The station is served by the Circle and District lines.
St Paul’s, served by the Central line, also located on the north side of the river, is approximately a 15 minute walk. You pass St Paul’s Cathedral, walk down to the river and walk across the Millennium Bridge which goes directly to the Tate’s entrance.
By train, Blackfriars is the nearest station. You also have Waterloo which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. And London Bridge, which is also roughly a 15-20 minute walk.
By boat, you alight at Bankside Pier.
If you prefer bus, routes 40, 63 and 100 stop on Blackfriars Bridge Road, 381 stops at Southwark Street and the 344 stops on Southwark Bridge Road.
